I mean what I say and say what I mean

Hopefully many of my new visitors to this website have noticed our new featured twitter feed @DoctorEndocrine. Twitter may be new to some of you and old hat to others. I have been a “tweeter” for many years now and have found an amazing community of souls there. This new wave of social media has fueled a revolution of communication unparalleled in our human history. It has brought the instant access of the internet down to a personal level that connects us to anyone and everyone around the world. My personal feed is filled with friends, colleagues, comedians and news channels.  I created the @DoctorEndocrine twitter account to specifically focus on health and related news.

In my welcome letter I made it clear that this was going to be my forum for voicing my opinions about all things medical. These opinions are most definitely not to be taken as medical advice or meant to supplant your physician. These are going to be the writings of my collected thoughts that I want to share with my patients and medical colleagues. I won’t have comments turned on for now to see how things go, but I might change my mind later. If and when I do, let’s be sure to remember our manners. If you wish to have a dialogue about anything and everything medical you are welcome to post at my twitter feed or on our Facebook page.

Coming Soon:

Earlier today I had a conversation with some friends about hospital politics and they encouraged me to write a full blog post about it. So I first wanted to establish the ground rules before moving forward. Stay tuned! The next blog post is going to jump right in to how my mind thinks about all things medical!
