Here’s the second installment to the Lifestyle Class series.
Week 2 Introduction to Exercise
Introduction to the concept of HIIT: Every January consumers think that they have to join a gym and spend hours a day there in order to accomplish meaningful exercise. Fortunately current research supports a smarter way to exercise. In this portion of the class we will discuss what High Intensity Interval Training means and how it can help you achieve your targets for exercise.
Emphasis on a Complete Exercise Program: Women fall victim to the idea that lifting weights will make them bulky and men are taught that lifting weights is only for the young and fit amongst us. Neither is actually true. Lifting weights is a critical component of maintaining overall health and wellness. We will review how to incorporate resistance training in your exercise plan to optimize your lifestyle goals.
Psychosocial aspects of exercise: Everyone encounters obstacles in their journey to get healthier. This portion of the class will be spent on identifying these before they completely derail your efforts.
Meal and menu planning: We will end each class with a recipe to keep you motivated in your journey to a new healthier you!
